Introducing: Gracie Spencer
Roles: “Bobbie Jean” & “Mr. Scary” This show marks a milestone for Gracie: It’s her first male role after begging our director, Greg Shaw, for years. Gracie is a former theatre student of his from Pittsburg High School, where she performed in a number of shows. Now 21 and majoring in communications at Pittsburg State University, Gracie is the captain of the PSU Dance Team. In her free time she loves to paint. Introducing: Taylor Smith
Role: “Grace” Taylor is joining us from Galena, Kansas, where she is a sophomore at Galena High School. At age 16, she’s already performed for seven years, including as Belle in “Beauty and the Beast” (GHS 2015), Ginette/Marcie in “Almost Maine” (Cherokee County Arts Association 2015), Frenchie in “Grease” (GHS 2014) and Birgitta Von Trapp in “Sound of Music” (CCAA 2011). Introducing: Abbi Epperson
Role: “Lucille” Abbi, a freshman at Pittsburg State University, says the best part of “Junie B.” is the chance to bring her favorite childhood books to life. A graduate of PHS where she was active in theatre, she’s been performing for 14 years including roles such as Ida in “Honk” (PHS 2014), Sister Amnesia in Nunsense (Ames, Iowa Community Theatre 2015), and Twink Futrelle in “Dearly Beloved” (PHS 2012). She loves singing with her dad in their band, “Not Related,” as well as writing and watching Netflix. Come see Abbi when the curtain goes up on "Junie B. Role: “Camille” Sixteen-year-old Cassie has been performing since she was very young. Now a sophomore at Pittsburg High School, her more recent shows includes “Yours, Anne” (PCT 2015), “Evita” (PCT 2015), and “Guys & Dolls” (PHS 2015). She played Principal Dixon in “Band Geeks” (PHS 2015-2016), which was chosen for Kansas State Thespian Conference, and multiple roles in "Shrek, The Musical" (PHS) last month. When she’s not performing or rehearsing — which isn’t often! — she also is actively engaged in singing and reading, writing, and “being Cassie!” Come see Cassie when the curtain goes up on "Junie B. Introducing: Alli Baden
Role: “Dancer” Alli Baden, 18 and a senior at Pittsburg High School, has been active in theatre for four years with such roles as Little Red Riding Hood in the recent nearly sell-out production of “Shrek, The Musical” (PHS 2016), as Nicole the Twirler Girl in “Band Geeks,” which was chosen for Kansas State Thespian Conference (PHS 2015-16), as a featured dancer in “Guys & Dolls” (PHS 2015) and “Loserville” (PHS 2014). Alli also is the editor of the award-winning Booster newspaper at PHS, is a member of the PHS Dance Team, and is a competitive dancer at the YMCA Academy of Dance.
