Meet Will Jewett, our show choreographer. He's the one on the floor.
Could it be that he fell into a theatre-induced coma brought about by his schedule? Coming right off of a State performance of Pittsburg High School's musical "Band Geeks," he now has a principal role — "Donkey!" — in PHS's "Shrek, The Musical," which is in rehearsal every weekday from 3:30 to 6 p.m. and most weekends from 1 to 8 p.m. He is the choreographer for "Nottingham," an upcoming YMCA's Show Biz Kids production also now in rehearsal. He dances with the Academy, and recently choreographed a flash mob for his mom's college students at Pittsburg State University. He has a role in "Junie B. Jones." And oh yeah — he was just named a Kansas Honors Scholar for his academic achievements in the top 10 percent of his senior class! But that's not the reason Will is on the floor. He blames Gladys Gutzman. She's the lunch lady. She's also a musical number in "Junie B. Jones" that is especially tricky. Will worked and worked with the cast on cleaning up the 16 count. It was a long night. We have every confidence in the talents of both Will and the cast, however, and know it will be nothing but 120 percent come performance time! It always is. Because that's how PCT rolls. — Andra Stefanoni PCT Board Member P.S. Will's mom informs us that his room is a disaster! This makes us feel better. Turns out he's normal, after all!
