Director's Note
My love affair with Dracula started at age 9. I am blessed to have a mother who was young and creative when I was a kid. She was often in charge of the Halloween parties for our school. I wanted to have a really cool costume. She suggested I go as Dracula. I trusted her suggestion. I can still remember her applying the pancake makeup and slicking my jet black hair back, lining my eyes with red lipstick, and creating a few droplets of blood by my mouth. She sewed me a cape of black lined with red, and lastly the cheesy vampire teeth of the 1970’s. I looked in the mirror and the inner actor in me came to life. So much fun.
When reading the various scripts I chose this one by Aric Cushing because it moved quickly. It wasn’t the parlor room Victorian era drama that so many were. Dracula is such a prolific character most people have an idea of who he is and the story line. The play is action packed. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have in bringing it to life for the audience. Thank you to everyone who has helped with the production. Thanks Mom! Happy Halloween! Tony Sanchez |

We would be remiss if we did not also thank our designers including our costume designers Lisa Quinteros and Diann Mazurek for working into the wee hours of the morning to make sure everyone's costume was perfect.
Thank you once again!
