​Neil Simon’s Biloxi Blues is a coming-of-age comedy. Eugene Jerome is a young and naïve Brooklynite who is whisked off to Biloxi, Mississippi for basic training during WWII. The play revolves around his mission statement for his time in Biloxi: to stay alive, become a writer and lose his virginity. By the end of the play, he accomplishes his goals, in unexpected ways. The connections created between the young soldiers from their shared experience under the wrath of a tyrannical sergeant stand at the heart of the play, conveying a sense of strong brotherhood.  Recommended for Adult Audiences.  Biloxi Blues is set during WWII and the ideology and language used in the production does not reflex the views of PCT.  The ideology and language represents the reality during WWII time period.   

Audition Information 

​Audition Date: January 23-24 @ 7pm at Pittsburg Memorial Auditorium
Cast Demographics: 
6 Males ages 18 to 22 yr old,  1 Male  age 30 to 50 yr old
All men will need to be able to perform physical activities and be willing to have hair alteration for the show.
1 Female  age 17-20 yr old,  1 Female age 20 to 40 yrs old
(all age arranges are at directors’ discretion during casting)
 
Rehearsal schedule:  planned for nightly  rehearsal 5 days during weekdays at 6pm. Rehearsals will begin shortly after casting is completed.  Rehearsal schedule is vulnerable to changes based on cast conflicts.  Please note that the 2-week block before the performances will occur during Pittsburg Spring break week and cast will be required to attend all  2-week block rehearsals prior to opening night.
