Male, child (approx. 8–12). Sweet, innocent, and courageous. Strong singer with a clear, youthful voice. Appears throughout the show. Fagin Male, 40s–60s. Charismatic, clever, and morally ambiguous leader of a gang of pickpocket boys. Strong comedic timing and singing ability required. Nancy Female, late teens–30s. Warm-hearted and streetwise with deep emotional complexity. Strong vocalist and actor; one of the show’s most dramatic roles. Bill Sikes Male, 30s–50s. Violent, intimidating criminal. Primarily an acting role with limited singing. Requires strong stage presence. Mr. Brownlow Male, 50s–70s. Kind, educated, and compassionate gentleman who becomes Oliver’s protector. |
